Each year our community bands together to raise money for our Annual Giving Campaign. In 2018, as part of our 125th Anniversary, our community goal is to raise funds to establish a new academic means-tested scholarship, to provide opportunities for students who would not ordinarily have the means to attend our School.
We are holding a Giving Day on Wednesday 6 June where for just 24 hours, our aim is to raise funds to support two scholarships at Melbourne Girls Grammar.
HOW IT WORKS
Every $1 donated on Wednesday 6 June will be quadrupled. This has been made possible through the generosity of members of our community who have kindly agreed to match and multiply your donations, helping us to reach our goal.
This year’s campaign will help to support our School and the educational experience of both current and future students of Melbourne Girls Grammar.
BUILDING UPON A LEGACY
Kim Pham (2017) was a recipient of the Phyllis Connor Memorial Scholarship, a means-tested scholarship providing opportunities for girls from disadvantaged backgrounds to attend MGGS. Kim is now studying a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Melbourne.
Words cannot express the immense gratitude I have for the opportunities you have given me to be the person I am today.
Thanks to the legacy of Phyllis Connor, girls such as Kim have enjoyed a world-class education at Melbourne Girls Grammar, helping them pursue their dreams.
We hope through this campaign our community will contribute to passing on this opportunity to future generations of students.
