Melbourne Girls Grammar’s Junior Years Program (Prep – 4) inspires enthusiastic, inquisitive and creative thinkers.
Junior Years is a time where girls from Prep – Year 4 channel their curiosity for the world through an academic curriculum that equips them with fundamental life skills.
Our purpose is to guide your daughter on this path and encourage her to ask questions about what she is learning to develop leadership and team-building skills, as well as social, personal and cultural awareness.
This is a time where girls learn to use all of their senses to explore the context of their subjects inside the classroom and out in the world. They uncover the pathways to their passions and pursue these interests within a secure and positive environment.
We believe our learning experiences let girls’ natural abilities flourish and stimulate enthusiastic, inquisitive and creative thinkers.
We encourage you to book a tour of our Morris Hall campus to see our vibrant Junior Years Program in action.

Positive relationships and personal responsibility are the foundations for healthy human development.
In Junior Years, girls begin to build the pillars of emotional and social wellbeing as individuals and as a group, with a sense of connection to our community and the environments around them.
From the Kitchen Garden to our Adventure Playground, Peaceful Patio and Imagination Zone, we ensure our spaces engage our girls with all five senses.
The learning potential of every day is maximised in the aim of nurturing connected, resilient and strong young women.
We provide a broad co-curricular program that reflects who our girls are and what interests and challenges them.
Swimming, athletics and a range of team sports are available throughout the year.
Open and auditioned choral and instrumental programs provide pathways for beginners through to advanced musicians, singers and performers.
STEM clubs, arts clubs, mindfulness groups, coding and robotics clubs and day camps, book clubs and experiential camps make up a rich suite of co-curricular opportunities, assisting our girls to discover their passion.
