Congratulations to the Class of 2025!
As a community, we are so very proud of every Grammarian for the hard work and determination they have shown throughout their VCE studies. The VCE results received last week were truly impressive, and it wasn’t just a handful of students, it was the success of the whole cohort. We are delighted to see 63% of the cohort earning scores in the top 10% of the state, with ATAR scores of 90 or above. Two of our students also achieved the highest attainable ATAR (99.95), which is remarkable as only 14 girls in the state reached that level.
Our median ATAR of 94.3 places us as the top non-selective school in the state and the top of the list for private/independent schools as well. Of all the study scores received by our Grammarians (they get one study score out of 50 for each VCE 3&4 subject they complete), 30% were above 40, which proves again that our results were not limited to a few students but that the whole cohort worked as a team towards success. They have supported each other, not only as friends but as academic peers in the classroom. It takes a whole class to do well for an individual’s results to be good, and this group has been united in the cause, competitive by nature and a strong desire for the whole group to do well collectively.
This success has been fostered by our exceptional teachers. Our teachers know their students well and design academic programs that provide relevant and age-appropriate challenges for personal stretch and growth. They cultivate a love of learning, assist in building supportive relationships, and offer numerous opportunities for students to take initiative both within and beyond the classroom. It is this combination that enables our students to achieve outstanding academic results and enjoy their time at school in the process. Together with their families, Melbourne Girls Grammar can shine the spotlight on the learner and recognise the enormous impact a strong community has in assisting each individual along the way.
Completing VCE is a great achievement for all students and with their results, the Class of 2025 demonstrate the unique benefits of a well-rounded Melbourne Girls Grammar education.
