We are delighted to announce that The Artemis Centre at Melbourne Girls Grammar has been shortlisted as a finalist at the World Architecture Festival Awards for 2018. The Artemis Centre is one of 10 shortlisted buildings in the School – Completed Buildings category for the awards, amongst a highly competitive field of schools from all around the world. Winners will be announced at the World Architecture Festival Awards on 28 November 2018 in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
The architects who designed the Artemis Centre, BVN, will be presenting to a live panel of judges at the Festival. The below video is a teaser trailer of the video which will support this pitch.
The World Architecture Festival Awards celebrate outstanding architecture projects. They are the only global awards programme of their kind, whereby the architects present their projects live to a panel of internationally renowned judges and delegates from around the world.
The Artemis Centre is at the heart of our forward-thinking Senior Years Program which responds to the changing learning needs of today’s young women. The wellbeing of students at Melbourne Girls Grammar is at the centre of everything we do, and The Artemis Centre was built with this purpose in mind.
We wish BVN the best of luck in presenting to the live panel of judges at the Festival at the end of the month.
We are humbled to be shortlisted for such a prestigious international award, and to be recognised for providing not only a world class education for girls, but also internationally acclaimed facilities to enable our students learning to flourish.
Stay tuned to hear of the result of the awards, and to view the full length video.
