Graduating with a Bachelor of Biomedicine from the University of Melbourne in 2024, Daisy is now embarking on a Doctor of Physiotherapy in 2026, aiming towards practicing in the field of elite sports. Her plan is to continue service in sports governance roles and to progress into elite sports performance management, with the ultimate goal of leading a well-respected sports body at the executive level. 

In 2025, Daisy completed her Dive Master qualification in scuba diving in Sicily. She is fascinated by hyperbaric medicine, not least its applications in elite athlete treatment plans. She is excited that Australia could lead the way in this field and is keen to be part of it. It may seem like a lot for a 22-year-old to have planned, but “when you know, you know!”

She is now completing her medical training while also contributing to clinical research focused on patient-reported outcome measures in tertiary mental health settings, with a particular interest in how systems can better centre patient voices. Alongside her studies, Alisha has worked in hospital, research, and community-facing roles that have strengthened her communication and teamwork skills.

Outside of medicine, she enjoys playing the violin, crocheting, and reading, small creative outlets that help her stay balanced.

Recognised for her contributions and leadership, Jacqui’s accolades include the 2016 Telstra Business Woman’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award, NASA’s Top 100 Global Engineering Innovations, the BioMelbourne Network Emerging Women in Leadership Award, and being named one of the Top 20 MedTech Innovators in Asia Pacific in 2021.

Known for combining commercial rigour with visionary thinking, she brings a systems-level view to healthcare innovation. Jacqui also serves as Deputy Chancellor of La Trobe University and is a Director of the Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, where she champions the intersection of innovation, education, and industry to drive meaningful change across the healthcare ecosystem.
