A Melbourne Girls Grammar education serves as a bold beginning for life. As the Class of 2024 steps confidently into the world beyond our red brick walls, we know their recent tertiary offers will continue to support them to flourish as ethical women of action.
We are delighted to share the Class of 2024’s tertiary destinations with our community.
Our Grammarians received 155 offers in total, with 100% of students who applied to study in Victoria receiving an offer. The Class of 2024 excelled in a diverse range of studies, study scores of 45 or higher were achieved in 24 different subjects and study scores of 40 or higher were achieved in 36 subjects. All fields were represented in their tertiary offers, with the most offers in the area of Society and Culture (39%), followed by the Natural and Physical Sciences (19%), and Management and Commerce (17%).
The Class of 2024 embraced the MGGS community, and through this sense of belonging they have been successful in achieving remarkable results. The Class of 2024 has received offers from various Victorian and interstate universities. In Victoria, the University of Melbourne and Monash University were the top two destinations, with 31.2% and 25.7% of the cohort receiving offers to attend these universities respectively. 11.5% of our students received an offer from RMIT University.
Our graduates also received offers from universities across the country, such as Australian National University (ANU), the University of Sydney, the University of New South Wales (UNSW), the University of Newcastle, the University of Queensland and many more. Importantly, our graduates are receiving offers from the world’s top 100 universities, putting them on the global stage in terms of their study disciplines. Graduates received interstate university offers in the fields of Arts and Social Sciences, Criminology, Politics, Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE), Media, Physiotherapy, Medicine, Architecture, Psychology, Law, Commerce and more.

Our international students from the Class of 2024 have received offers to study in Victoria at the University of Melbourne. Our Victorian-based international students have received offers in the fields of Arts, Music and Science. Some also received offers for New South Wales universities including Western Sydney University and Macquarie University.
Our high achievers from the Class of 2024 have received a number of brilliant offers. Our School Proxime Accessit Alisha Nair, who received an ATAR of 99.8 – has been offered a place in Medicine at Monash University and is Melbourne Girls Grammar’s Gilman Jones Scholar for 2025. Emily Zhou (99.65) and Kaelyn Wang (99.75) both also received offers to study Medicine at Monash University. Charlotte Cooney (99.1) who earned a study score of 50 in English, will undertake Law (Hons) and Global Studies at Monash University, residing onsite at Mannix College. Ondine Thompson (99.4), who achieved a study score of 50 in Psychology and a VCE Premier’s Award for Equine Studies, has received multiple offers and is choosing between a Bachelor of Biomedicine at the University of Melbourne or the Monash University Pharmacy Scholars program followed by a Master of Pharmacy for her further studies. Eliza Davidson (99.55), Laura Duong (99.65), Yier Hong (99.9) and Isabella Hunt (99.75) will all begin undergraduate degrees at the University of Melbourne this year; Eliza and Laura in Biomedicine, Yier in Commerce and Isabella in Arts.
Our high achieving Grammarians are also pursuing offers outside of Victoria. Tuckwell Scholar, Zoe Paul (99.7) has already departed Melbourne for Australian National University in Canberra, where she will begin a double degree in Law and PPE (Politics, Philosophy and Economics). Sophie Clifford (99.65) is making the big move to Townsville to undertake Medicine at James Cook University, while Xuan Valmorbida (99.1) is choosing between studies at King’s College London and University College London.
We are very pleased to share that Class of 2024 Grammarian and Australian junior rower Lulu Burney has been offered a place at the University of Texas to row. In 2024, their rowers celebrated their most successful season yet winning a third national championship in four years. We are also pleased to share that Lola Dahan (Class of 2023), will be heading to Harvard University in September 2025 to begin her tertiary studies and continue her rowing career. Lola will be studying international relations and foreign policy during her time at Harvard and is very much looking forward to heading to Massachusetts in the ‘fall’. We wish them well for the beginning of their academic year in September 2025. We hope to share more about Lulu and Lola’s achievements soon.
We are looking forward to hearing about the continued learning and adventures of these young Old Grammarians as they further their studies in higher education. We wish them all the best for the challenges and opportunities that they will meet beyond our red brick walls and know they have bright futures ahead.
