As VCE Results Day approaches, we want to take a moment to celebrate you—our incredible VCE students. Your journey at MGGS has been one of hard work, determination, and embracing every opportunity to get involved and grow. Whatever your results indicate, remember: they are a tool to shape your future, not a limit on your potential.
Whether it is further study, work, travel or adventure that you seek in 2025 and beyond, the learning and growth you’ve cultivated here at Melbourne Girls Grammar, with the support of your friends and family and guidance of your teachers, will serve you well wherever you go.
Here are five things to remember on Thursday, VCE Results Day.
Celebrate Your Achievements
Pause and reflect on everything you’ve accomplished this year. Beyond your study and completion of exams, you’ve achieved so much more. You’ve followed your passions, you’ve won the Domain Cup, you’ve created an inclusive and supportive sisterhood for others to look up to.
Your contributions to our School’s culture–through your participation in Artemis, music, drama and STEM activities–have not only served you and your skills, but positively impacted those around you. You’ve been a role model to younger Grammarians and supported them in overcoming challenges, like swimming in their first race at House Swimming or getting up on stage in House Drama. Your resilience and dedication to yourself and to MGGS are worth celebrating.
Maintain Perspective
Receiving your ATAR score is a pathway, not a destination. While it may open doors to some opportunities, there are countless pathways to your goals. Universities value your passion, drive and the well-rounded education you’ve received at MGGS.
Remember to be kind to yourself and your peers.
Lean on Your Support Network
Share the day with your family and friends, who have been your cheerleaders throughout this journey. Don’t hesitate to reach out to our MGGS staff if you need guidance–they’re here to help you plan your next steps with clarity and confidence. Nicole Fett, our Careers Coach, will of course be available to talk and work with you once you have your results.
As a brand-new Old Grammarian, you’re part of a large network of alumnae who are here to guide and mentor you throughout your further study and career. Don’t hesitate to reach out to fellow OGs or Community Engagement Manager, Clare Fitzgerald.
Focus on the Future
Your MGGS education has equipped you with skills that go far beyond the classroom–critical thinking, resilience, and a commitment to lifelong learning. These qualities will serve you well in any pathway you choose. Keep your eyes on your aspirations and trust that your foundation is strong.
Your MGGS journey doesn’t end here, there are many opportunities to stay involved with the School as an academic or sport coach and we encourage you to stay connected and share your achievements with us!
Be Proud of Who You’ve Become
Results Day can feel like it’s all about the numbers, but don’t forget to consider and recognise the incredible person you’ve become. You’ve faced challenges head-on and grown into an ethical woman of action ready to take on the world. You’ve discovered passions that will guide your future and the choices and challenges that lay ahead. That is the real achievement.
No matter the outcome, your MGGS journey has prepared you to embrace the future with confidence, curiosity, and courage. Congratulations on everything you’ve achieved–we are so proud of you!
