Parents are a vital part of the rowing program at MGGS. Involvement includes: early morning delivery of the girls to the river or school for training (if the prospect of the early mornings is daunting, car pooling is a very good idea), ensuring the timely arrival of the girls at regattas and of course offering their support. Added to this we are actively involved in raising funds for the Club which includes raffles, Christmas pudding drives and the organisation of the biggest fund raiser for the year - the Annual Pre-season Cocktail Party.

As a Spectator

You have a lot of fun at the regattas and there is the opportunity to meet a wide network of other parents within the School community. The School sets up a tent at each regatta where you can meet your daughter, other parents, set up your folding chair, store your belongings, enjoy a picnic and cheer as part of a team.

As well as being able to bring your own refreshments, food and beverage of variable quality and range is sold at all the rowing courses.
