As the GSV weekly
sports reach the pointy end of competition we have discovered just how
talented our Junior girls are. The Junior cricket team is yet to be beaten.
The girls are so keen they even do extra training to keep ahead of their
opponents.
Our sixty plus girls
have loved the Junior basketball competition and have put up a great fight
in a number of matches. The skill level has improved dramatically
throughout the term, demonstrating a fantastic team spirit. Our
Intermediate Basketball girls have also had some good wins so finals will
be evident for these Year 9 and 10’s.
Our Senior cricket
team was just short of percentage points to go into the finals while the
senior basketball girls enjoyed a relaxed season.
There will be only 23
schools in the GSV Competition next year as Tintern take up a
co-educational role and leave our organisation. On behalf of the Melbourne
Girls Grammar Girls we wish them well and will miss that long drive out to
Ringwood for our weekly sport.
Just a timely
reminder to all girls to bring water bottle to all trainings and games as
the weather warms up.
