Program Objectives

The Melbourne Girls Grammar Equestrian Program was established in 2004 to promote and develop skills in Equestrian among participants. The Program is an extracurricular sport.

 

The objectives of the Program are:

*

To promote Equestrian awareness through activities/events amongst the School Community and increase participation.

*

To give Program participants the opportunity to choose to develop their skills in one or more of the Equestrian disciplines and to participate in competitions in those disciplines.

*

To improve the skill levels of Program participants.

*

To educate all Program participants on the fitness, nutrition and safety aspects involved in participating in Equestrian activities.

 

Activities offered by the Program include horse riding lessons, Beach n’ Bush trail ride, non-residential Equestrian Camp for girls without a horse, participation in Interschool Competitions and an Instruction/Training Day for girls with their own horse.
