Melbourne
Girls Grammar is well served by public transport. Being located near Melbourne’s CBD means that MGGS students can travel to the School by train, tram or bus.
Trains
Students
can access MGGS from Richmond, South Yarra and Flinders Street Stations.
Richmond
Station is within 10 minutes walking distance from the Senior School.
Students
using the South Yarra Station can either walk to the School or catch the No
8 Tram along Toorak Road to the stop at the corner of Park Street and Domain Road which is then a 2 minute walk to the Senior School.
Students
using Flinders Street Station can catch a tram to the School (see trams
below).
Trams
The
School is most directly serviced by Tram No 8 which runs from the City to
Toorak along St Kilda, Domain and Toorak Roads. This tram stops at the
corner of Domain Road and Park Street which is then a 2 minute walk to the Senior School.
Students
can also take any tram running along St Kilda Road which stops at the Domain Rd interchange on St Kilda Road and then walk to MGGS from the interchange.
Buses
The
School is most directly serviced by Metlink Bus No 605 which runs from the
City to Gardenvale via Kooyong Road. This bus runs along Williams Road, Alexandra Avenue, Punt Road, Swan Street, then along Batman Avenue and Flinders Street to a stop in front of Flinders Street Railway Station. The nearest stop to
the School is at the corner of Punt Road and Alexander Avenue which is then
a 10 minute walk to the Senior School.
There
is a dedicated MGGS bus service from Brighton to the School which stops at
both our Junior and Senior School campuses.
