Old Grammarians Society - Mission

Our Mission

The Old Grammarians Society is committed to facilitating and actively encouraging the continued involvement of all Old Grammarians in the wider community of Melbourne Girls Grammar with a view to ensuring the continued wellbeing of our School and its Old Grammarians.

The Society implements its Mission by supporting the School to continue its educational heritage through:

*

representation on and membership of the Merton Hall Foundation,

*

working with the Parents’ Association to develop events that benefit fund-raising for the School and the Scholarships of the Old Grammarians Society,

*

the Merton Network providing mentoring and support for career activities of students and Old Grammarians,

*

the DJ Ross Bursary for a student with special needs, and

*

the Old Grammarians Scholarship for a daughter of an Old Grammarian.

The Society represents the School at events held by past student associations at other schools.

The Society promotes fellowship between Old Grammarians through:

*

dissemination of information and reports in i.e, the School Magazine and activities organised within Melbourne Victoria, interstate and overseas,
