At Morris Hall we believe that within every human being there is a
potential for learning that is virtually unlimited. We appreciate that each
girl brings to our community unique abilities which must be valued and
utilised. This is why the learning process is directed towards helping our
students explore and use their innate potential.
Not only minds but hearts must be developed and for us literature,
drama, music and the arts provide the key. Our curriculum promotes a
life-long appreciation of the role these play in developing imagination,
insight, understanding and creativity. Just as importantly, girls come to
appreciate the sheer pleasure that these areas can bring to their lives –
giving them ‘wings’ to fly.
Our extensive co-curricular program allows all girls to broaden
their experiences and interests and further extend their skills. Choir,
orchestra, private music lessons, sport, excursions, outdoor education,
servant leadership opportunities and social service are just some of the
activities that enrich and extend the Morris Hall experience.
Morris Hall students are encouraged and supported to develop a
robust, resilient approach to learning, acquire intellectual character and
do so with a deep sense of joy and individual satisfaction. They move to
Merton Hall with their
hearts opened, their confidence awakened and their imaginations enlarged
ready for
a lifetime of learning, problem solving and decision making.
