Giving to Melbourne Girls Grammar

Annual Giving

Each year current parents and Old Grammarians are invited to contribute to the Annual Fund. You may specify where you would like your gift to be spent, or simply choose to support the highest priorities of the School. This fund supports short-term projects for the School, many of which could not proceed without this support.

Building Fund*

Melbourne Girls Grammar, through the Foundation, regularly conducts capital campaigns to raise funds for specific buildings, or projects identified by Council as necessary for the success of the School’s educational program. Recent campaigns have included the successful Science Futures Centre and Creative Arts Centre. Other more recent projects to benefit from community philanthropic support include the refurbished Nina Crone Library and the integrated Dining Hall project.

Library Fund*

Donations to this fund provide for literature and facilities for the Nina Crone Library.

A Bequest

The Red Brick Fellowship seeks to recognise and thank those who have included The Merton Hall Foundation in their will. Read more at: The Red Brick Fellowship: Melbourne Girls Grammar’s bequest society

Endowment Fund

A significant endowment fund will help ensure the School’s long-term financial security and independence. Unrestricted gifts to the Endowment Fund enable the School to apply funds to areas of greatest need and to take advantage of any extraordinary opportunities.

Geoffrey Joachim Memorial Fund

The Fund honours the memory of Geoffrey Joachim, who taught at Melbourne Girls Grammar from 1982 to 1985, and returned to the School from overseas in 1993. The Fund was established in 2004 following Mr Joachim’s untimely death, and each year supports the professional development of one of our teachers.
