Morris Hall

Morris Hall, the Junior School of Melbourne Girls Grammar, is a
compact, medium sized school where each girl and her family can be known by
name. Our three storied building accommodates students from Prep to Year 6
and is within easy walking distance to the Merton Hall Campus.
We are committed to providing an environment which is not only
welcoming and joyful but arouses curiosity, wonder and a passion for
learning. There are also spaces for quiet reflection.
Our attractively situated classrooms and school environment are
structured to accommodate varied learning and thinking styles. All
classrooms are full of natural light and look out onto trees and the
outdoors. This allows the children to appreciate the changing time of day
and our four seasons. We have a grassed oval, acting also as an
amphitheatre, climbing equipment, sand pit and a tennis/basketball/netball
court.
Our classrooms are equipped with interactive white boards and girls
have immediate access to computers and printers. Morris Hall also consists
of various supplementary teaching areas including a Music School, a multi-purpose Assembly Hall, a well equipped Art Room and Library / Information
centre and a small Gymnasium.
Our Sustainable Living Centre provides our students with an
understanding of the development of sustainable living practices. Within
this evolving environment are espaliered fruit trees, vegetable and herb
gardens, chook pens, worm farm and an indigenous, contemplative garden.
