VTAC Guides

The Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre manages the post-Year 12 application and offer system for admission to courses of study at most Victorian universities, many TAFEs and post-Year 12 private providers. The VTAC Guide gives the name of each course, the course code, a brief description of the course, the prerequisite subjects required, details of any special requirements for entry into the course and a brief outline of the course structure and major subjects.

The Guide outlines application procedures and sets out the important dates for application and selection through the VTAC system.

The VTAC Guide is updated annually and is issued to all Year 12 students as soon as it is available. Copies are available for short-term loan from the Careers Centre to students in other levels, and can be purchased from newsagents.

CourseLink & CourseSearch are produced by VTAC, the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre, and are essential tools for all students in Years 10, 11 and 12.

All VTAC publications may be accessed on this site as well as information about VTAC procedure, the ENTER (Equivalent National Tertiary Entrance Rank), as well as university and TAFE course and selection information.

CourseLink & CourseSearch can be accessed at: http://www.vtac.edu.au/. CourseSearch is usually available from the home page and provides a simple way to search for information on a known course. CourseLink is a more sophisticated search engine which allows students to put in information about their subject choices & career interests, and search for relevant courses. The link to access CourseLink is http://www.vtac.edu.au/schools.html and students who have forgotten or not yet been given a VTAC student number can log in without it.
