Term 1
New boarders
arrive between 2:30pm and 3:30pm and continuing boarders are to return by
5:00pm. All families are invited to afternoon tea in the Boarders' Dining
Room at 3:30pm.
Terms
2, 3 and 4
All
boarders return by 9:00pm. A buffet dinner is served from 5:30 – 7:30pm.
Arrangements
for the Conclusion of Term
In Term 2 and Term 4 the School Term
ends at 12:30pm. In Term 1 and Term 3 the School Term ends at 3:20pm.
Boarders may make arrangements to travel home or be collected as soon as
School is finished. Boarders are not permitted to leave before the School
Term is completed.
All
boarders must complete a form stating the times of departure and return, as
well as a contact number and address for the holiday period. Requests from
parents for extraordinary leave are to be put in writing and directed to
the Director of Students: Senior School or Director of Students: Middle
School who will issue a signed consent form if the leave is granted. Under
no circumstances will a boarder be allowed to leave without the above
permission.
Overseas
Students
Passports
and flight tickets must be handed to the Director of Students (Residential)
immediately on arrival for safekeeping. It is the responsibility of the
parent/guardian to ensure the boarder holds a current passport. It is also
the responsibility of the parent/guardian to ensure the boarder has a
student visa prior to commencement at the School. Any queries regarding
visas should be addressed to the Admissions Office.
Travel
arrangements for overseas boarders must be in accordance with term dates.
Attendance
at Speech Night and Carol Service is compulsory. If an overseas boarder is
unable to adhere to these arrangements, permission must be requested in
writing and sent to the Director of Students: Senior School or Director of
Students: Middle School by faxing (+61 3) 9866 5768. Parents are welcome to
dinner prior to these events and a bus will transport staff, students and
parents to both these important events.
Tidying of Rooms at the End of the Term
Boarders
must tidy their rooms to the satisfaction of the staff and take home
anything not required the following term.
In June
and December, boarders must remove all belongings and take them home. Rooms
will be cleaned thoroughly and boarders will be allocated new rooms with
different room mates for the next term. Overseas boarders and those living
in remote areas may store their belongings in trunks and boxes in the
storage space provided in the middle of the year.
