Frederica's family moved to Hong Kong thirteen years ago from Australia. Freddy feels that she has the best of both worlds, having the opportunity to live in two very different cultures.

In Melbourne, Freddy's friendship group includes boarders who live in rural Australia.  She experiences a rural life when she visits Wangaratta and Deniliquin on the weekends with her boarding friends.  Freddy has become good friends with boarders and day girls from many different year levels.  She really enjoys taking her friends back to Hong Kong with her so they can discover the magic of her other life, as she has been able to do when visiting their country homes.
